DNP3 Emerson EIE
The DNP3 Emerson EIE enables a CygNet host to communicate with field devices that support the industry standard DNP3 (Distributed Network Protocol) protocol. Like most CygNet EIEs, the DNP3 EIE is a template-driven EIE.
The DNP3 Emerson EIE includes everything in the DNP3 EIE, plus some additional device-specific features. Essentially, any functionality handled by the generic DNP3 EIE, is also supported in the DNP3 Emerson EIE.

DNP3 Protocol requires the use of Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). The Display Name drop-down menu of the Time Zone page on the Device Editor must be set to "(UTC) Coordinated Universal Time". If not already defined, ensure that you properly define and install a CygNetTimeZones.xml file to include the UTC drop-down time zone option for the DNP3 Emerson EIE.
